If your new to the sport and need someone to get out there with you can ask here. A paddle buddy is very important to the sport of kayak fishing as you learn what each others habits are and your individual needs plus a load more besides. Simply post and ask if there’s anyone in your region so you can both get out there safely and look after one another on the water.

Hi Chris, not sure about clubs but I do know of a good few yak anglers north of the border. Try asking in our forums. I’d love to get more Scots in there especially before the referendum, lol πŸ˜‰

Hi. After borrowing a yak whilst on holiday and doing a bit of bass fishing I was hooked. Did a lot of reading on kayaking and safety and bought the relevant gear. I live in the Chester le Street area and would like to tag along with experienced kayak fishers.
    Thanks for any help.

Hi, I’ve recently bought my first fishing kayak and want to get stuck in but I need someone with experience to show me the way. Im based in cheshire, if anyone is local for lake fishing? However I’m really keen on getting out in to the sea to catch my supper. I’ve done a lot of fishing on terra firma, a little boat fishing at sea and a bit of kayaking/canoeing, just not combined the two interests before and I have done nothing at sea. I’m cautious about going out by myself as a complete novice numpty and getting myself in to trouble. Can anyone please help? Tried to join the forum using the link about but it doesn’t seem to work?? Thanks in advance
